DAY 1Under the Shade LodgeThe hotel is located in a remote and unspoiled piece of land keeps most of its natural vegetation, with plenty of mature trees and birds that flock in beautifully landscaped gardens. Kick back and relax as he takes you to the hotel in Arusha- Tanzania’s self-styled safari capital. On your way to the hotel, you will get a brief impression of this bustling commercial city. Depending on your arrival time, you may have your pre-safari briefing today, if not, it will take place early tomorrow morning.

ARUSHA - FLY TO SERENGETI CENTRALYou will be transferred to Arusha Airport to catch an afternoon flight to Serengeti National Park. Arrival Serengeti-Seronera Airstrip where you will meet your driver-guide ready to begin a full-day game drive exploring the endless plain of Serengeti-Packed lunch will be provided. You will have a game drive till evening where you will drive to the tented camp for overnight.

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK - central + Western AreaWaking up in the Serengeti is something really special. The sights, sounds, and smells of Africa are all around us, and ahead is a full day of adventure in the world’s most famous national park. After breakfast, we start today with the morning section of our game drive in Serengeti National Park, marveling at the stunning scenery, ever-changing light, and always entertaining wildlife, all explained to you by your expert driver-guide. After picnic lunch, we set off again, searching for wildlife in this awe-inspiring park. Serengeti’s wonders evolve subtly as the day progresses. The myriad animals and birds are the ‘stars of the show’ and Nature’s dramas can unfold at any time. Of course, the animals don’t work on any schedule, so we may find a lion or leopard, elephant, and zebra, cheetah, and antelope at any time on our drives. At the end of the afternoon, we return to the camp.

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK - central + Western AreaWhat to see: Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Giraffe, Buffalo, Hippos, Thomson Gazelles, Wildebeest, Impalla, different types of birds, Serengeti savanna and Acacia trees.
Yet enjoy game drives in central Serengeti. Serengeti is believed to have the largest population of lions in Africa due to the abundance of prey species. More than 3000 Lions live in this ecosystem. You won’t be disappointed as the area also has a good population of resident wildlife animals which can be seen throughout the year particularly BIG FIVE-named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters.
Wildlife animals don’t exertion to any schedule, you may find leopard and lion, zebras and elephant, antelope, and cheetahs at any time on your game drives. Evening you will return to the Lodge for dinner and some much need rest and recreation.

Our recommendations are:NGORONGORO CRATER TOURAfter breakfast at the camp, you will drive straight to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive in the Crater. Followed by packed lunch served at the selected picnic site. More game drive in the Crater till evening where you will drive to the rim of the Crater for overnight stay. Ngorongoro is the best place to see black rhinoceros, wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles. It has the densest known population of lions around 120 with well-defined territories and it’s the place you can find the black manned lion, with well-defined territories, up to 15,000 wildebeest and 9,000 thousand zebras, 400 hyenas, and around 50 black Rhinocerous. Many wildebeest and other herd animals are resident, benefiting from the many sources of year-round waters and are boosted by some migratory in season. Eland, Thomson gazelle, and Buffalo are also present in numbers. Hippos can be seen in pools and swampland, Flamingos can frequently be seen in Lake Magadi, which occupies part of the crater floor. Highland birdlife is colorful and abundant around the waters.

DAY 7:Maramboi Tented CampWildlife calls at the door of Maramboi Tented Lodge. Zebras, giraffes, warthogs, gazelles. Placed in the ecosystem of Lake Manyara, Maramboi Tented Camp takes together the best services, exclusive kindness, and genuine hospitality in a stunning scene. TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARKBreakfast at the lodge at the agreed time with your driver/guide then continue to this huge park – Tarangire National park taking us around 2 hours where we will do game drives. After time spent there in the park, we continue to the selected picnic sites where we will eat our picnic lunch which is a nutritious and balanced meal. Then continue with game drives till sunset where you will drive to the lodge for an overnight stay. The park is noted for its incredible diversity of massive baobab trees, big heard of elephant and rolling savannah and acacia woodland, a good variety of wildlife, rich of birdlife, flora, and fauna, The park is named after this life-giving river that provides the only permanent water for wildlife in this area. During the dry season-June to November, the park has the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem and its wetland in the south area of the park supports more than 300 hundred bird species. With fewer tourists than other parks.
Many animals migrate to its river for drinking water. The park is home to buffalo, lion, wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle while gerenuk and fringe-eared Oryx are ‘local specialties and can rival Serengeti for total animal densities. Lake Burungi’s marshy shores are the lure for these mammals and the waters attract many beautiful bird species too. Look out for giant kingfishers, hoopoes, and the delightfully-named white-bellied go-away bird. Talk to your guide to find you an Agama lizard especially a male one who changes color in front of you according to the temperature.
You might see a solitary male lion stretched out beneath a tree, a male cheetah enjoying some lazy bonding-time in the sun. perhaps graceful Grant’s gazelle and zebra bounding away from the road or a couple of giraffe munching happily from acacia branches, look out for kudu and oryx.

DAY 8:
Our recommendations are:TARANGIRE-ARUSHAEnjoy the morning of relaxation at your camp, Hot Lunch will be served at the Tented Camp, then you will drive back to Arusha for your overnight stay or transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for a flight back home or go to Zanzibar. You can simply depart on this day only if you have booked domestic flights departing JRO from 19:00hrs onwards OR International Flight departs from 20:00hrs onwards. If not, you will need to book post-night accommodation for an earlier flight.
