No matter what your arrival time at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your guide will be waiting for you with a warm welcoming smile. Kick back and relax as he takes you to the hotel in Arusha- Tanzania’s self styled safari capital. On your way to the hotel, you will get a brief impression of this bustling commercial city. Depending on your arrival time, you may have your pre-safari briefing today, if not, it will take place early tomorrow morning.

In the morning you will be picked up from the Hotel, short safari briefing provided all the necessary safari information then you will make your way to Kilimanjaro Londorossi Gate.  The drive is about 2hours where you will reach yourself at the main gate heading to Kilimanjaro mountain.  You can approach Kilimanjaro mountain, Shira Plateau from the West.

Complete park regulation before you proceed to the mountain.  Your guide will give you a short brief about Kilimanjaro. In clear days you may see Mt. Kilimanjaro peak before going in. Star to explore the grassy moorland and Volcanic rock on the plateau. Also visit the Shira Cathedral through a lovely trail. However, a side tour to enormous buttress of rock hemmed in by sharp tips and peaks.  Then proceed to Shira 2 Camp. Take some time, later on descend down  to the get and transferred to your overnight stay camp/lodge.

Morning spent at Olpopongi.

A visit to a MaasaiBoma (Masai village tour) is an interesting experience. On arrival at the village, you can expect to be greeted in the traditional manner, excited children and adults welcome you with song and dance, at certain times, and one of the dancers will jump up and down gracefully. The jumps are several feet high and as they jump higher the singers will raise the pitch of their voices. You will be invited to try jumping – (dancing), too. Thereafter receive a warm welcome into the unique oval, dome shaped homesteads (called Manyatta). The homesteads are made of cow dung and clay plastered over stick frames with thatched roofs, it is the job of the Maasai women to build these sturdy dwellings. Get a wonderful opportunity to learn about the history, culture and lifestyle of these Maasai. There is also the opportunity to learn about some of the customary practices, such as fire-making or beadwork, and etc.  Evening drive to Manyara for overnight stay and relaxation.

Breakfast is served at the hotel, drive to Lake Manyara National Park.  Manyara is a relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow, salt lake that covers a large area of the park (covering two-thirds of the park), flooding and drying with the seasons, and is home to thousands of flamingos fascinated by the algae in the lake and over 500 other bird species recorded. The Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically positioned African wildlife.  The park habitat attracts a broad range of animals together with one of Africa’s sparsely inhabited African elephants herds,

On your adventure of the park, you will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants,s and with some luck, lions lying in the trees.  Lake Manyara national park is well known for its various landscapes, not only open green plains, but also primate-full woodland and baobab spotted cliffs.

Afternoon go for a Tree walkway adventure. (optional)  After a full day in the Park, you will drive to the lodge, where you will be able to relax and enjoy dinner.

Have a full breakfast before leaving for the Ngorongoro conservation area. A journey of about 30minutes. Admire a magnificent view of the crater from the rim then descend into the stunning crater which is about 2000 feet over 600 meters to the floor of the crater, home to many species of Tanzania’s wildlife with some luck you may even see a black Rhinoceros here. Enjoy wildlife game viewing with your driver-guide while sharing his knowledge with you. Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest volcanic caldera. The area is covered with grasslands, forests,s, and swamps. Background of jaw-sinking beauty because of the permanent water supply within the ground of the crater which supports more than 25,000 resident animals. The area is well known for black Rhinoceros as well as the pride of lion that includes the magnificent black-manned males. There are lots of colorful flamingos and a variety of water birds, for bird lovers. Picnic lunch boxes will be served at the crater while watching hippos. Other game that you can see includes leopard, hyena, cheetah, Elephants, Jackal, hippos, waterbuck, baboons, antelope family, and small mammals. After a day of a game drive, you will drive to your overnight hotel for dinner and relaxation.

Breakfast is served at the Lodge, then as you continue as far as the eye can see is the massive open plains of Serengeti.  Serengeti means, the endless plain with  18000 sq. km-6900 sq. mile park is settled by more than 2 million wildebeest. Depending on the time of your visit, from January to April is the season when wildebeests give birth to their calves, and also hundreds of thousands of plains zebras and Thomson’s gazelle gathers. Big predators as lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey that roams all over the park.   Smaller animals like mongoose, honey badgers, bat-eared foxes, rock hyrax, Monkey, Baboons, African hares, and jackals are also inhabiting the area along with nearly 400 species of birds. After the game drive, you will drive to the lodge for an overnight stay.

Today you will wake up very early in the morning have a cup of coffee or tea then enjoy a sunrise game drive which is the most beautiful experience in Serengeti one can encounter in the African Savanna land. The sights, sounds and smells of Africa are all around you.  Continue with a game drive in the Serengeti-seronera area.

Morning breakfast served at the lodge, There after you will continue with game en route heading to Arusha arriving in the evening.

You will be arriving Arusha around 16:00hrs. Drop off at Kilimanjaro international Airport for flight back home or to Zanzibar. You can simply depart on this day only if you have booked domestic flights departing JRO from 19:00hrs on wards OR International Flight departs at 20:00hrs onwards. If not, you will need to book a post night accommodation for any earlier flight.
