DAY 2:Olpopongi Home Stay
Our recommendations are:ARUSHA - KILIMANJARO MOUNTAIN-Base of the mountainIn the morning you will be picked up from the Hotel, short safari briefing provided all the necessary safari information then you will make your way to Kilimanjaro Londorossi Gate. The drive is about 2hours where you will reach yourself at the main gate heading to Kilimanjaro mountain. You can approach Kilimanjaro mountain, Shira Plateau from the West.

A visit to a MaasaiBoma (Masai village tour) is an interesting experience. On arrival at the village, you can expect to be greeted in the traditional manner, excited children and adults welcome you with song and dance, at certain times, and one of the dancers will jump up and down gracefully. The jumps are several feet high and as they jump higher the singers will raise the pitch of their voices. You will be invited to try jumping – (dancing), too. Thereafter receive a warm welcome into the unique oval, dome shaped homesteads (called Manyatta). The homesteads are made of cow dung and clay plastered over stick frames with thatched roofs, it is the job of the Maasai women to build these sturdy dwellings. Get a wonderful opportunity to learn about the history, culture and lifestyle of these Maasai. There is also the opportunity to learn about some of the customary practices, such as fire-making or beadwork, and etc. Evening drive to Manyara for overnight stay and relaxation.

LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK –Afternoon TREEWALK WAYBreakfast is served at the hotel, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Manyara is a relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow, salt lake that covers a large area of the park (covering two-thirds of the park), flooding and drying with the seasons, and is home to thousands of flamingos fascinated by the algae in the lake and over 500 other bird species recorded. DAY 5:Ngorongoro Rhino LodgeSituated a few hundred meters from the crater’s rim, The hotel offers a perfect base to explore the Ngorongoro Crater and its surroundings. The lodge is also located in close nearness to the main entry and road descending into the crater floor.

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK - Seronera areaBreakfast is served at the Lodge, then as you continue as far as the eye can see is the massive open plains of Serengeti. Serengeti means, the endless plain with 18000 sq. km-6900 sq. mile park is settled by more than 2 million wildebeest. Depending on the time of your visit, from January to April is the season when wildebeests give birth to their calves, and also hundreds of thousands of plains zebras and Thomson’s gazelle gathers. Big predators as lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey that roams all over the park. Smaller animals like mongoose, honey badgers, bat-eared foxes, rock hyrax, Monkey, Baboons, African hares, and jackals are also inhabiting the area along with nearly 400 species of birds. You will be arriving Arusha around 16:00hrs. Drop off at Kilimanjaro international Airport for flight back home or to Zanzibar. You can simply depart on this day only if you have booked domestic flights departing JRO from 19:00hrs on wards OR International Flight departs at 20:00hrs onwards. If not, you will need to book a post night accommodation for any earlier flight.
