Located on the rim of the Rift Valley. Lake Manyara National Park is petite, although its varied ecosystems set in a huge diversity of animals and birdlife. The park is famous for its tree climbing lions, python, but also for its piercing baboons. Furthermore, a demonstration of color is offered by the birdlife in this park.

The park lies in very remarkable settings up next to the steep western wall of the Rift valley. Being direct en-route to Ngorongoro or Tarangire from Arusha. It is a well known place for a day trip. Most of the feature East African mammals found in Lake Manyara including Lion, Leopard, cheetah, Buffaloes, elephant, hippo, giraffe and baboons.

What other activities will I do in a day trip to Lake Manyara National Park? A Guided walking is also possible in Lake Manyara accompanied by a park ranger. Manyara National park also offers a Canopy tree walk. One of the longest tree canopy walkways in Africa with intermittent viewing decks positioned around the tree on the walk under the supervision of a guide you can enjoy a totally new experience of leafy treetops, birds, monkeys, and butterflies.

Canoeing is also an experience you can take in Lake Manyara National Park Tanzania as well as Horse riding and Bush meals.

A short safari briefing provided all the necessary safari information before traveling to the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park. About 2hours drive. Travel through the agricultural farm and fresh produce market of Mto Wa Mbu village, situated next to Lake Manyara national park entrance. The village is a souvenir hunters paradise, harboring thousands of souvenir salesmen, prepared to jump at your slightest call. You will have a game drive in the park till lunchtime. enjoy lunch which will be a packed balanced meal served at selected picnic sites followed by more game drives searching for tree-climbing lions.
The Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically positioned African wildlife areas consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park habitat attracts a broad range of animals together with one of Africa’s sparsely inhabited African elephants herds. Other game that you can see is a large flock of flamingos fascinated by the algae in the lake.
